Description
This artwork belongs to series of paintings inspired by A. Dante poem “Divine Comedy”. This poem is considered to be masterpiece of Italian literature and to be one the most important medieval Europe fiction writings. “Divine Comedy” is about authors journey to hell, purgatory and heaven.
Illustration is made by combining drawing and graphic techniques where the picture is replicated on special plate using dry needle method and pressed on the paper using special graphic press. This kind of method is special in the sense that no two similar illustrations can be made since shading, line thickness and brightness will differ every time, allowing for each drawing to be unique.
