Aprašymas
This artwork is part of series of graphical prints dedicated to Edgar Allan Poe writings. Edgar Allan Poe – was an American author, novelist, literary critic, and journalist. He is widely regarded as a central figure of Romanticism in the United States, and of American literature. He was one of the country’s earliest practitioners of the short story, and is considered the inventor of the detective fiction genre, as well as a significant contributor to the emerging genre of science fiction.
These graphic prints try to convey the feeling of love, hope and loss which are prevailing in the writers works. Illustrations seeks to complement them and to make observer feel even more deeper feelings, which would help to experience new angles.
Illustration is made by combining drawing and graphic techniques where the picture is firstly sketched on paper and replicated on special transparent plate using dry needle method. The plate is latter pressed on the paper using special graphic press. This method is special in a sense that no two similar prints can be made since shading, line thickness and brightness will differ every time, allowing for each drawing to be unique (that also meant that slight differences from photo published will be present).
